Organic extra virgin olive oil: this oil is an excellent emollient and skin moisturiser, rich in vitamin E, polyphenols, fatty acids (oleic, linoleic and linolenic) and squalene. Produced in Spain, of extra virgin quality and cold-pressed.
Organic cold-pressed virgin sesame oil: good antioxidant thanks to its high content of vitamin E, with nourishing and repairing properties for sensitive, weakened or dry skin.
Organic cold-pressed virgin jojoba oil: a liquid wax obtained by pressing the seeds of the jojoba plant. Effortless to absorb, its linolenic acid boosts cell regeneration.
Zinc oxide without nanoparticles: mineral sunscreen which provides a physical protection.

Why use a sunscreen with a mineral filter?
There are two types of filters: chemical and mineral. Conventional sun creams have chemical filters, i.e. to protect you from radiation, they incorporate a series of synthetic ingredients that penetrate your skin and absorb the UV energy, converting it into heat. Did you know that the most common chemical filters in conventional sunscreens are oestrogenic and endocrine disruptors? Oxybenzone, octinoxate and homosalate can silently harm your body by interfering with thyroid and other hormonal processes.

Without nanoparticles, what does it mean?
Nanoparticles are tiny particles that are used in sunscreens to improve the stability of some ingredients, increase the effectiveness of the filter or make the product more fluid. Despite these "advantages", there is much controversy and doubts remain as to whether they are completely safe. Thus, in Matarrania we do not use nanoparticles and we proudly say that our sunscreens are nanoparticles-free.
Does it leave the skin white?
While researching for our sunscreen products we have encountered the shared opinion "I don't like that it leaves the skin white" on countless occasions. After many months of research into formulas, ingredients and suppliers, we have come up with a product that does not cause this unwanted effect that makes so many people uncomfortable. Matarrania's sun cream has a fluid texture that is very easy to apply, moisturises, protects, is quickly absorbed and has a marvellous aesthetic effect, without leaving the skin white.
How long should I wait for protection?
Our sunscreens protect upon application, unlike sunscreens with a chemical filter.
Does it contain essential oils?
No, none of the products in the sun protection range contain essential oils.
It is a facial sunscreen but can I use it on any other part of the body?
Yes, of course. Its high protection features make it advisable anywhere in your body where you feel your skin needs to be protected.
