Above 45º C, shea butter becomes liquid; avoid high temperatures. If the balm liquefies, it will return to its solid state after a few hours in the fridge.

PROPERTIES OF THE INGREDIENTS:
Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii butter): pure, virgin and unrefined, suitable for all skin types, with anti-inflammatory, nourishing, healing and emollient properties.
Organic extra virgin olive oil (Olea europaea fruit oil): excellent emollient and humectant for the skin, rich in vitamin E, polyphenols, fatty acids (oleic, linoleic and linolenic) and squalene. Produced in Spain, extra-virgin quality and cold-pressed.
Organic sunflower oil (Helianthus annuus oil): high vitamin E content, one of the highest among vegetable oils, even higher than olive, so it plays an important antioxidant role for the skin, that is, it prevents cellular ageing. It is a fast-absorbing oil, suitable for all skin types. Produced in Spain, virgin quality and cold-pressed.
Organic sweet almond oil (Prunus amygdalus oil): very suitable for all types of sensitive and delicate skin, rich in linoleic acids and vitamins A, B, E. Produced in Spain, virgin quality and cold-pressed.
Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis seed oil): liquid wax obtained by pressing jojoba seeds. Fast-absorbing, it stimulates cell regeneration thanks to linolenic acid.
Organic cold-pressed virgin sesame oil (Sesamum indicum oil): a good antioxidant thanks to its high amount of vitamin E, so it has nourishing and repairing properties for sensitive, weakened or dry skin.
Organic carnauba wax (Copernicia cerifera wax): plant-based wax that provides stability to the final product and prevents it from melting in the heat.
Organic meadow sage (Salvia pratensis extract): very effective as a cleansing and vulnerary agent in wound healing.
Organic eucalyptus essential oil (Eucalyptus globulus leaf oil): antiseptic, balsamic, stimulating, toning and oxygenating.

As it does not contain preservatives, how should I look after this product so that it does not spoil? The only precautions to take with our products are: avoid high temperatures (there is no need to store the product in the fridge, but avoid, for example, creams being left inside the car in summer), oxidation (close the jar after use) and humidity (contact with water).
What is the expiry date of a product after opening? All Matarrania products have a period after opening of 8 months (indicated on the product boxes with the symbol of an open jar and the English acronym PAO: Period After Opening).
Is this cosmetic suitable for vegans? Yes, it is a vegan product; it has not been tested on animals and contains no ingredients from animals nor products generated by them.
Can some components of the products cause allergies? Yes, there are two groups of components that can cause allergic reactions: vegetable oils extracted from tree nuts and essential oils.
Since the vegetable oils we use as ingredients are pure, virgin and unrefined, they contain the allergens of nuts. A person allergic to almonds cannot use MATARRANIA products that contain sweet almond oil, and the same applies to hazelnuts (hazelnut oil), sunflower seeds (sunflower oil) and sesame seeds (sesame oil).
Essential oils are natural aromatic substances secreted by plants and are composed of many components. Some of these components are allergens, that is, they can cause allergies, such as geraniol or citral. Cosmetics safety regulations require that the allergenic components of essential oils appear in the list of ingredients when their concentration is greater than 0.001% in leave-on products, and greater than 0.01% in rinse-off products.
People who are allergic to these components of essential oils cannot use cosmetics that contain them.
