To strengthen nails, apply a small amount to each nail, massaging gently over the cuticles and surrounding skin to activate circulation and nutrient absorption. Night-time application is also recommended.
Above 45ºC shea butter becomes liquid; avoid high temperatures. If the balm liquefies, it will return to its solid state after a few hours in the fridge.

PROPERTIES OF THE INGREDIENTS
Shea butter (Karité / shea): pure, virgin and unrefined, suitable for all skins, with anti-inflammatory, nourishing, healing and emollient properties.
Organic extra virgin olive oil (Olea europaea fruit oil): excellent emollient and humectant for the skin, rich in Vitamin E, polyphenols, fatty acids (oleic, linoleic and linolenic) and squalene. Produced in Spain, extra-virgin quality and cold-pressed.
Organic sunflower oil (Heliantus annus oil): high Vitamin E content, one of the highest among vegetable oils, even higher than olive; therefore it plays an important antioxidant role for the skin, i.e. it prevents cellular ageing. Fast-absorbing; suitable for all skin types. Produced in Spain, virgin quality and cold-pressed.
Organic sweet almond oil (Prunus amygdalus oil): very convenient for all types of sensitive and delicate skin, rich in linoleic acids and Vitamins A, B, E. Produced in Spain, virgin quality and cold-pressed.
Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis): liquid wax obtained by pressing jojoba seeds. Fast-absorbing; stimulates cell regeneration thanks to linolenic acid.
Organic virgin sesame oil, cold-pressed (Sesamum indicum oil): a good antioxidant thanks to its high Vitamin E content; therefore it has nourishing and repairing properties for sensitive, weakened or dry skin.
Organic meadow sage (Salvia pratensis extract): very effective as a cleansing and vulnerary agent in wound healing.

INFORMATION OF INTEREST ABOUT FOOD ALLERGENS
MATARRANIA uses ingredients of the highest quality, pure, unrefined and organically certified; even so, natural products can also cause allergies in people who are sensitive to some components. Thus, if you have food intolerances to tree nuts such as almonds, sunflower seeds or sesame seeds, do not use this product on the skin.
As it does not contain preservatives, how should I look after this product so that it does not spoil? The only precautions to take with our products are: avoid high temperatures (you do not need to keep the product in the fridge, but you should avoid, for example, creams being inside the car in summer), oxidation (close the jar after use) and humidity (contact with water).
What is the expiry date of a product after opening? All Matarrania products have a period after opening of 8 months (indicated on the product boxes with the symbol of an open jar and the English acronym PAO: Period After Opening).
Is this cosmetic suitable for vegans? Yes, it is a vegan product; it has not been tested on animals and contains no ingredients from animals nor products generated by them.
Can some components of the products cause allergies? Yes, there are two groups of components that can cause allergic reactions: vegetable oils extracted from tree nuts and essential oils.
Since the vegetable oils we use as ingredients are pure, virgin and unrefined, they contain the allergens of nuts. A person allergic to almonds cannot use MATARRANIA products that contain sweet almond oil; the same applies to hazelnuts (hazelnut oil), sunflower seeds (sunflower oil) and sesame seeds (sesame oil).
Essential oils are natural aromatic substances that plants secrete and are composed of many components. Some of these components are allergens, that is, they can cause allergies, such as geraniol or citral. The cosmetics safety regulations require that the allergenic components of essential oils appear in the list of ingredients when their concentration is greater than 0.001% in products that are left on the skin, and greater than 0.01% in products that are removed from the skin.
People who are allergic to these components of essential oils cannot use cosmetics that contain them.
