Apply a small amount, giving a gentle massage, on clean skin. The application of the product provides a pleasant, enjoyable absorption, guaranteeing excellent results on the skin.
Precaution: Night-time use is recommended and do not expose skin treated with the balm to the sun until it is fully absorbed, since Hypericum is photosensitive.
Above 45ºC shea butter becomes liquid; avoid high temperatures. If the balm liquefies, it will return to its solid state after a few hours in the fridge.

PROPERTIES OF THE INGREDIENTS
Organic extra virgin olive oil (Olea europaea fruit oil): excellent emollient and humectant for the skin, rich in Vitamin E, polyphenols, fatty acids (oleic, linoleic and linolenic) and squalene. Produced in Spain, extra-virgin quality and cold-pressed.
Organic Hypericum (Hypericum perforatum extract): effective anti-inflammatory, astringent, antiseptic, vulnerary and sedative.
Organic shea butter (Karité / shea): pure, virgin and unrefined, suitable for all skins, with anti-inflammatory, nourishing, healing and emollient properties.
Can it be used in cases of dermatitis and psoriasis? Yes, as it is specific for treating this type of skin. It will hydrate, soften, prevent flaking and reduce itching. Use a very small amount and spread the balm well, at least once a day. It is a dense balm and slow to absorb. If after some time the skin has not fully absorbed it, remove the excess.
As Hypericum is photosensitive, can it be used during the day? Contact with sunlight should be avoided as it may cause spots on the skin. It is better to use the balm at night or avoid sun exposure after application.
Can it be beneficial for skin with rosacea? In this case, it is better to use the Nourishing Moisturiser for Sensitive Skin, which will nourish and improve the skin’s defences. Although it is not formulated specifically for rosacea, it improves its condition and protects the skin from external aggressions that trigger rosacea.
As it does not contain preservatives, how should I look after this balm so that it does not spoil? The only precautions to take with our products are: avoid high temperatures (you do not need to keep the product in the fridge, but you should avoid, for example, creams being inside the car in summer), oxidation (close the jar after use) and humidity (contact with water).
What is the expiry date of a product after opening? All Matarrania products have a period after opening of 8 months (indicated on the product boxes with the symbol of an open jar and the English acronym PAO: Period After Opening).
Is this cosmetic suitable for vegans? Yes, it is a vegan product; it has not been tested on animals and contains no ingredients from animals nor products generated by them.
Can some components of the products cause allergies? No. This product does not contain any allergens, nor gluten, nor nut oils, nor essential oils.
