From what age should it be used?
It depends to a large extent on skin ageing and type, but in normal conditions MATARRANIA’s Beautifying Cream for neck and décolleté is recommended from the age of 35 onwards.
Does it provide sun protection?
No. In case of sun exposure, use a sunscreen suitable for your skin type. It is not a sunblock but will protect against multiple external factors such as temperature changes, wind, environmental pollution, etc. Pampering your skin with organic cosmetics means boosting its natural powers to fight against oxidising agents.
As it contains oil, does it leave greasy residues?
Ideal for combination skin, this treatment has balm-like texture and does not leave the skin oily. Like all MATARRANIA creams, it does not contain water, thus, it is very concentrated and very nourishing.
Use a very small amount and spread well. Although it takes a little longer to absorb than water-based creams it leaves the skin smooth, supple, protected and deeply moisturised.
Is it suitable for vegans?
Yes, it is a vegan product, it has not been tested on animals, it does not contain ingredients derived from animals or products produced by animals.
Is this product suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
It is not recommended. Products not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding are: Moisturising Oil with cinnamon, clove and ylang-ylang (clove is not recommended during pregnancy), Beautifying Cream for neck and décolleté (sage is not recommended), and Regenerating and Firming Facial Serum for mature skin (rockrose essential oil is haemostatic). All these products include the recommendation on the box labelling.
You can use all our other skin care products during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as the proportion of essential oils is low and does not pose any risk to you or your baby.
Could any of the ingredients cause allergies?
A person allergic to almonds cannot use cosmetics containing sweet almond oil. The same applies to hazelnuts (hazelnut oil), sunflower seeds (sunflower seed oil) and sesame seeds (sesame oil). Also, some of the components of essential oils are allergenic, such as geraniol or citral. These components are included on the labelling if their concentration is higher than 0.001% and should be avoided by people allergic to them.
