These soaps are superfatted with oils, therefore, as well as cleansing, they also provide extra hydration. Even so, a soap is not designed to hydrate, but to cleanse. After cleansing with a soap, no matter how natural it is, it is advisable to use a moisturising and nourishing cream or oil.

Matarrania’s soaps do not contain any of the ingredients potentially dangerous to health and the environment that many other conventional soaps do contain: synthetic fragrances, colourants, silicones, anionic surfactants (sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate), foaming agents (PEG, polyethylenes, polyethylene glycols)… Everything on the label is perfectly understandable.

Since solid gel contains lye, isn’t it an aggressive soap for the skin? Practically all soaps sold on the market are made with saponified vegetable oils. And to saponify them, either sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) or potassium hydroxide (potash) is needed. Therefore, lye is an essential ingredient to make soap. What happens is that many laboratories buy the oils already saponified (and indicate it on their labelling as “saponified oil”), instead of saponifying them themselves with lye (and listing lye as an ingredient).
You therefore do not need to worry about our soaps being made with lye, it is something common to all soaps, and it is important to know that the lye is completely neutralised with olive oil. The basis of the formula is the traditional one, except that cosmetic soaps are superfatted with olive oil and that is why they are not aggressive to the skin.
That said, as with all soaps, it is important to avoid soapy water coming into contact with the eyes.
Is this cosmetic suitable for vegans? Yes, it is a vegan product, it has not been tested on animals and contains no ingredients from animals nor products generated by them.
How should I store the soap bar? It is very important that after use, the soap bar is allowed to air-dry completely. That is why it is necessary to use soap dishes that drain off excess water. Otherwise, the soap dissolves and releases an unpleasant gelatinous matter.
Can some components of the products cause allergies? Yes, there are two groups of components that can cause allergic reactions: vegetable oils extracted from tree nuts and essential oils.
Since the vegetable oils we use as ingredients are pure, virgin and unrefined, they contain the allergens of nuts. A person allergic to almonds cannot use MATARRANIA products that contain sweet almond oil, and the same applies to hazelnuts (hazelnut oil), sunflower seeds (sunflower oil) and sesame seeds (sesame oil).
Essential oils are natural aromatic substances that plants secrete and are composed of many components. Some of these components are allergens, that is, they can cause allergies, such as geraniol or citral. Cosmetics safety regulations require that the allergenic components of essential oils appear in the list of ingredients when their concentration is greater than 0.001% in leave-on products, and greater than 0.01% in rinse-off products.
People who are allergic to these components of essential oils cannot use cosmetics that contain them.
Solid shower gel traditionally made only with organic ingredients to cleanse and care for your skin. With mint and grapefruit so you can start your day with positive energy.
Did you know that solid soaps are the most natural and ecological on the market?
1. They are in solid format, without water. In this bar there are the same uses as in a 750 ml plastic bottle, but without a plastic bottle, thus reducing its environmental impact.
2. They contain pure ingredients, without palm oil and without ingredients potentially dangerous to health and the environment.
