Does it have sun protection? No. If you expect sun exposure, use a sunscreen suitable for your skin type. It does not offer sun protection, but it does protect against multiple external factors such as temperature changes, wind, environmental pollution… Caring for the skin with organic cosmetics is a way to strengthen it so it can defend itself naturally against oxidising agents.

As it contains oil, does it leave the skin greasy? It is an excellent facial cream for dry skin and its texture is balm-like, as with all MATARRANIA creams, since it contains no water. It is very concentrated and highly nourishing, but it does not leave the skin greasy.

You should apply only a small amount and spread it well and, although it takes a little longer to absorb than normal creams (which are emulsions and contain water), it leaves the skin soft, supple, protected and deeply hydrated.

What is the period after opening of a product? All Matarrania products have a period after opening of 8 months (indicated on the product boxes with the symbol of an open jar and the acronym PAO: Period After Opening).

As it contains no preservatives, how should I care for this product so it does not spoil? The only precautions to take with our products are: avoid high temperatures (you do not need to keep the product in the fridge, but avoid, for example, leaving creams inside the car in summer), avoid oxidation (close the jar after use) and avoid humidity (contact with water).

Is this cosmetic suitable for vegans? Yes. It is a vegan product, not tested on animals and it contains no ingredients from animals or produced by them.

Can any components of the products cause allergies? Yes. There are two groups of components that can cause allergic reactions: vegetable oils extracted from tree nuts, and essential oils. In addition, products made with shea butter may cause reactions in people who are allergic to latex.

Since the vegetable oils we use as ingredients are pure, virgin and unrefined, they contain the allergens naturally present in nuts. A person allergic to almonds must not use MATARRANIA products that contain sweet almond oil, and the same applies to hazelnuts (hazelnut oil), sunflower seeds (sunflower oil) and sesame seeds (sesame oil). Essential oils are natural aromatic substances secreted by plants and are composed of many components. Some of these components are allergens, that is, they can cause allergies, such as geraniol or citral. Cosmetics safety regulations require the allergenic components of essential oils to appear in the ingredients list when their concentration is greater than 0.001% in leave-on products and greater than 0.01% in rinse-off products. People who are allergic to these components of essential oils must not use cosmetics that contain them. Shea butter contains natural latex in its composition. The presence of this substance is minimal, but it may still affect people who are allergic to latex. These people should avoid products that include shea butter in their formulation, or carry out a patch test before use by applying a small amount to the forearm and observing the reaction.
