PROPERTIES OF THE INGREDIENTS:
Organic shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii butter): pure, virgin and unrefined; suitable for all skins; anti-inflammatory, nourishing, healing and emollient properties.
Organic extra virgin olive oil (Olea europaea fruit oil): excellent emollient and humectant; rich in vitamin E, polyphenols, fatty acids (oleic, linoleic and linolenic) and squalene. Produced in Spain, extra virgin quality and cold-pressed.
Organic calendula (Calendula officinalis flower extract): emollient, vulnerary and epithelising; indispensable for delicate and sensitive skins.
Organic hypericum (Hypericum perforatum extract): effective anti-inflammatory, astringent, antiseptic, vulnerary and soothing.
Organic sunflower oil (Helianthus annuus oil): very high in vitamin E—higher even than olive oil—so it plays an important antioxidant role for the skin, helping prevent cellular ageing. Fast-absorbing and suitable for all skin types. Produced in Spain, virgin quality and cold-pressed.
Organic sweet almond oil (Prunus amygdalus dulcis oil): ideal for sensitive and delicate skins; rich in linoleic acids and vitamins A, B, E.
Organic virgin sesame oil, cold-pressed (Sesamum indicum oil): a good antioxidant thanks to its high vitamin E content; nourishing and repairing for sensitive, weakened or dry skins.
INFORMATION OF INTEREST ABOUT FOOD ALLERGENS
MATARRANIA uses the highest-quality ingredients, pure, unrefined and organically certified. Even so, natural products can also cause allergies in people sensitive to certain components. If you have food intolerances to tree nuts such as almonds, to sunflower seeds or to sesame seeds, do not use this product on the skin.
If you are allergic to latex, products made with shea butter are not recommended.
Which areas can the Nappy Rash Cream be applied to? You can apply it to any area where you see redness or irritation. It is also indicated for atopic skins, as it contains hypericum, which acts as an anti-inflammatory and dermal regenerator, together with extra virgin olive oil, present at 90% of the formula. As a nappy cream, shea butter also provides a natural protective layer against the external moisture of the nappy.
As it contains no preservatives, how should I care for this oil so it doesn’t spoil? The only precautions to take with our products are: avoid high temperatures (you don’t need to keep the product in the fridge, but avoid, for example, leaving creams inside the car in summer), avoid oxidation (close the jar after use) and avoid humidity (contact with water).
What is the period after opening of a product? All Matarrania products have a period after opening of 8 months (indicated on the product boxes with the symbol of an open jar and the acronym PAO: Period After Opening).
Is this cosmetic suitable for vegans? Yes. It is a vegan product, not tested on animals and contains no ingredients from animals or derived from them.
Can any components cause allergies? Yes. There are two groups of components that can cause allergic reactions: vegetable oils extracted from tree nuts, and essential oils. As the vegetable oils we use are pure, virgin and unrefined, they contain the allergens naturally present in the nuts. A person allergic to almonds must not use MATARRANIA products that contain sweet almond oil; the same applies to hazelnuts (hazelnut oil), sunflower seeds (sunflower oil) and sesame seeds (sesame oil).
Essential oils are natural aromatic substances secreted by plants and are composed of many components. Some of these components are allergens, such as geraniol or citral. Cosmetics safety regulations require allergenic components of essential oils to appear in the ingredients list when their concentration is greater than 0.001% in leave-on products and greater than 0.01% in rinse-off products.
People who are allergic to these components of essential oils must not use cosmetics that contain them.
