As it contains oil, does it leave the skin greasy? It is a good facial cream for dry to combination skin and its texture is balm-like, like all MATARRANIA creams, as it does not contain water: it is very concentrated and very nourishing, but it does not leave the skin greasy.

Can some components of the products cause allergies? Yes, there are two groups of components that can cause allergic reactions: vegetable oils extracted from tree nuts and essential oils. In addition, products made with shea butter can cause reactions in people allergic to latex.

Since the vegetable oils we use as ingredients are pure, virgin and unrefined, they contain the allergens of nuts. A person allergic to almonds cannot use MATARRANIA products that contain sweet almond oil, and the same applies to hazelnuts (hazelnut oil), sunflower seeds (sunflower oil) and sesame seeds (sesame oil).

Essential oils are natural aromatic substances secreted by plants and are composed of many components. Some of these components are allergens, that is, they can cause allergies, such as geraniol or citral. Cosmetics safety regulations require that the allergenic components of essential oils appear in the list of ingredients when their concentration is greater than 0.001% in leave-on products, and greater than 0.01% in rinse-off products. Shea butter contains natural latex in its composition. The presence of this substance is minimal, but even so it can affect people allergic to latex.
