We share some guidelines to help you get the most out of our hair serum, since you can use it to treat and improve hair condition.
WHAT USES DOES IT HAVE?
To repair split ends: apply one drop of serum to the split ends and massage gently. Repeat until all the ends to be repaired are covered. Leave on for 20 minutes and then wash as usual.
For very dry, frizzy hair: use up to twice a day to provide nourishment and, after a few days, enjoy a soft feel and a frizz-free look. Apply a few drops to the palms, rub gently and press over the surface of the hair.
To define curls: use one or two drops on the palm, apply over the surface of clean hair. Dry as usual.
To stimulate stronger hair, or treat a dry scalp: massage a few drops onto the scalp and roots, then wrap the hair in a warm towel and leave on for 20 minutes. Afterwards, wash the hair as usual.

PROPERTIES OF THE INGREDIENTS
Organic extra virgin olive oil, cold-pressed (Olea europaea fruit oil): excellent skin emollient and humectant, rich in vitamin E, polyphenols, fatty acids (oleic, linoleic and linolenic) and squalene.
Organic rosemary flowers and essential oil (Rosmarinus officinalis flower extract / oil): used as an oil on the scalp, it strengthens growth from the root, promoting stronger, less brittle hair. It also helps to prevent flaking or dryness by nourishing the scalp.
Organic virgin coconut oil, cold-pressed (Cocos nucifera oil): emollient, protective and dermal regenerator with antibacterial action. Nourishes and adds shine to the hair.
Organic virgin sesame oil, cold-pressed (Sesamum indicum oil): a good antioxidant thanks to its high vitamin E content, therefore it has nourishing and repairing properties for sensitive, weakened or dry skin.
Organic eucalyptus essential oil (Eucalyptus globulus leaf oil): antiseptic, balsamic, stimulating, tonic and oxygenating.
INFORMATION OF INTEREST ABOUT FOOD ALLERGENS
MATARRANIA uses ingredients of the highest quality, pure, unrefined and organically certified, even so, natural products can also cause allergies in people who are sensitive to some components. Should it be used on dry or wet hair? Either, as convenient. It can be used on dry hair, or on damp hair after washing.
How much serum should I apply? Three drops for short hair or a short bob, increasing the amount for longer hair or greater density.
Can I mix it with other products? You can add it to your conditioner (maximum three drops per use), or to your henna dye for extra nourishment and care.
Can it be applied at the roots on sensitive scalps to avoid itching? Yes, it also has a soothing effect for sensitive scalps. Apply at the roots, parting the hair in the areas where you notice more itching, especially the nape, crown and sideburns.
Can it be used on oily hair? Yes, if it is for split ends.
As it does not contain preservatives, how should I look after this oil so that it does not spoil? The only precautions to take with our products are: avoid high temperatures, oxidation (close the jar after use) and humidity (contact with water).
What is the expiry date after opening? All Matarrania products have a period after opening of 8 months (indicated on the product boxes with the symbol of an open jar and the English acronym PAO: Period After Opening).
Is this cosmetic suitable for vegans? Yes, it is a vegan product, it has not been tested on animals and contains no ingredients from animals nor products generated by them.
Can some components of the products cause allergies? Yes, there are two groups of components that can cause allergic reactions: vegetable oils extracted from tree nuts and essential oils.
Since the vegetable oils we use as ingredients are pure, virgin and unrefined, they contain the allergens of nuts. A person allergic to almonds cannot use MATARRANIA products that contain sweet almond oil, the same applies to hazelnuts (hazelnut oil), sunflower seeds (sunflower oil) and sesame seeds (sesame oil).
Essential oils are natural aromatic substances that plants secrete and are composed of many components. Some of these components are allergens, that is, they can cause allergies, such as geraniol or citral. The cosmetics safety regulations require that the allergenic components of essential oils appear in the list of ingredients when their concentration is greater than 0.001% in leave-on products, and greater than 0.01% in rinse-off products.
People who are allergic to these components of essential oils cannot use cosmetics that contain them.
