Does it provide sun protection?
No. In case of sun exposure, use a sunscreen suitable for your skin type. It is not a sunblock but will protect against multiple external factors such as temperature changes, wind, environmental pollution, etc. Pampering your skin with organic cosmetics means boosting its natural powers to fight against oxidising agents.
As it contains oil, does it leave greasy residues?
Ideal for combination skin, this treatment has balm-like texture and does not leave the skin oily. Like all MATARRANIA creams, it does not contain water, thus, it is very concentrated and very nourishing.
Use a very small amount and spread well. Although it takes a little longer to absorb than water-based creams it leaves the skin smooth, supple, protected and deeply moisturised.
Can lemon essential oil cause skin blemishes?
Being just one of the ingredients in this product, lemon essential oil content is not higher than 3% and this means it will not stain the skin or cause irritation, as long as you do not have a specific allergy or intolerance to lemon.
However, sun exposure does cause sun spots, so it is necessary to apply a sunscreen according to your individual needs if sun exposure is anticipated.
Can it be used for oily skin?
Yes, up to once a day and after your daily skin cleansing routine. Vegetable oils allow pores to breath naturally never clogging them.
For oily skin, we recommend starting your daily skin care routine with our organic Soap Mousse and continuing with the Soothing Rose Toner, that moisturises and cleanses while preventing blackheads thanks to its astringent effect. Then, apply the Nourishing Moisturiser. Finally, a weekly deep cleansing using our organic Scrub is highly recommended to complete a natural treatment of this skin type.
As it has no preservatives, how should I keep this product so that it does not spoil?
The only precautions to be taken with our products are: high temperatures (no need to store the product in the fridge, but avoid high temperatures e.g. inside the car in summer), oxidation (close the jar after use) and humidity (avoid contact with water).
Is it suitable for vegans?
Yes, it is a vegan product, it has not been tested on animals, it does not contain ingredients derived from animals or products produced by animals.
