Can it be used on combination or combination-oily skin? Yes, no problem. It takes a little longer to absorb, but shine disappears quickly and it does not make the skin greasy. It leaves the skin soft and elastic straight away.

Is it recommended to avoid dark circles? Dark circles are difficult to combat! This eye contour is more appropriate for expression lines and puffiness, as it has an effective anti-ageing effect thanks to vegetable oils of olive and rosehip, and a de-puffing effect thanks to the anti-inflammatory properties of santolina (wild chamomile).

Is the eye contour recommended if I have dermatitis? Yes, MATARRANIA’s organic eye contour can be used on skin with dermatitis. It is a formula that softens and deeply hydrates the skin and contains no perfumes, so it is especially suitable for sensitive skin.

From what age is it recommended to use the eye contour? The eye contour can be used at any age.

Does it have sun protection? No. If you expect sun exposure, use a sunscreen suitable for your skin type. It does not provide sun protection, but it protects against multiple external factors such as temperature changes, wind and environmental pollution. Caring for the skin with organic cosmetics strengthens its natural defences against oxidising agents.

As it contains oil, does it leave the skin greasy? It is a good facial cream for combination skin and its texture is balm-like, as with all MATARRANIA creams, since it contains no water: it is very concentrated and very nourishing, but it does not leave the skin greasy. Apply a small amount and spread well and, although it takes a little longer to be absorbed than normal creams (which are emulsions and contain water), it leaves the skin soft, supple, protected and deeply hydrated.

Why is the eye contour texture more oily than other face creams? Because it has a higher proportion of extra virgin olive oil which, although one of the most nourishing vegetable oils, is slow-absorbing and therefore gives that oily texture.

As it does not contain preservatives, how should I look after this product so that it does not spoil? The only precautions to take with our products are: avoid high temperatures (you do not need to keep the product in the fridge, but avoid, for example, leaving creams inside the car in summer), oxidation (close the jar after use) and humidity (contact with water).

Is this cosmetic suitable for vegans? Yes, it is a vegan product; it has not been tested on animals and contains no ingredients from animals nor products generated by them.

Can some components of the products cause allergies? Yes, there are two groups of components that can cause allergic reactions: vegetable oils extracted from tree nuts and essential oils.

Since the vegetable oils we use as ingredients are pure, virgin and unrefined, they contain the allergens of nuts. A person allergic to almonds cannot use MATARRANIA products that contain sweet almond oil, and the same applies to hazelnuts (hazelnut oil), sunflower seeds (sunflower oil) and sesame seeds (sesame oil).

Essential oils are natural aromatic substances that plants secrete and are composed of many components. Some of these components are allergens, that is, they can cause allergies, such as geraniol or citral. Cosmetics safety regulations require that the allergenic components of essential oils appear in the list of ingredients when their concentration is greater than 0.001% in leave-on products, and greater than 0.01% in rinse-off products.

Shea butter contains natural latex in its composition; the presence of this substance is minimal, but it can still affect people allergic to latex. These people should avoid products that include shea butter in their formulation, or perform a patch test before using them, applying a small amount to the forearm and observing the reaction.
